Helping the Customer

1. Book Swop

I'm in the shop. Dark. Busy. I arrive their after having had lunch break. About all colleagues are there, at least Kr, Liha, Digr.

For one particular customer, my assistance is needed. No colleague is tending to the customers at the till. I immediately to my job. This one person has his whole family with him, wife and children, so there are about five people standing there, maybe more. Two other, single, customers are waiting behind them. It looks crowded that way. I want to be so efficient and fast as possible.

This person buys two or three books or dvd's. He needs to explain something so that his transaction is clear, because he got some books from another shop, in Aarschot, and also let the colleagues of that shop phone here to ask whether we have these books, but the right ones. So this must be a swop.

This explanation was rather confusing, especially because I did not know of the case and  because I just arrived. Because I just arrived, I first talk to the person at the customer side, trying to be fast, but it does not help. So I go behind the till.

Before I get there I also come from the basement, looking for Liha, because another customer has a question and she is not there, so I have to go down and solve it. Yet I know she is in the shop. Because I leave the till, I call Kr, so that he can tend to the customers, but he does not answer or come, although I am sure he is there somewhere. None of them is in the shop itself. Then I come up again, and I see Digr pass, in his casual clothes with a expression of 'is everything okay?' and he signals that he understands that I'm not at the till when he passes. But he does not help either, he is just making sure that I don't feel guilty.

So after that I try to shout for Liha too, so that she can help the other customers while I tend to this person with the difficult question. If I remember correctly, she will come after a while.

Anyway, I go behind the till, but I see people there and they do like they are home, so I think they are helping, and I feel relieved when I see such a guy go behind the till from the other side. Then I see he does not do anything, and looks stupid. Two other of those guys are there. One is in the way when I want to deal with the difficult person. And I push him gently to the side, but he comes back every time. After a while I get frustrated and push harder, though this fellow does not become angry. They are really stupid, morons. They're no help.

I also write down the information on the label of the tapes that the person brought, so that I can verify, later in the dream I realize I don't need this at all, but at that time I did not know what it was all about.

2. Home Bathroom

Maybe the bathroom of my parents, girl. White. Clean.
