Black Scorpion

1. The Meat Deliverer

I am at a place, street or square, van parked, yellow, one side is open and stacks of red meat are piled there. The driver delivers these to one of the houses, and I watch. The van is almost empty. He places the packets in a freezer, that maybe stands outside and is not so big.
In the meanwhile there is something about Jommeke, but I can't remember what.
I know the manager of the shop (maybe I mean the boss of the driver).
The dream continues with the same van, parked one space in front, and now I also see how the driver opens the van, because it is the whole side of the van that he opens, which is remarkable. But I see him only open the lower part, and yet the whole van is open. It works like a door, only it is long. And then he does the same as before, and I realize this, and am not interested.

2. In Between Cities

Cycling, we pass the windgat, which is between Leuven and Herent. This time I come from Leuven (I have had many dreams like that, often I come from Herent, sometimes from Leuven). And there are already a lot of people out there. I can't remember what happened there.

3. Book Fair in Leuven

City of Leuven. Light, day. I am going to a certain place, intently, and on my way I meet Pesl, and he comes along, and after a while I don't know if I follow him or he follows me. We enter the building, which I suppose is the old school, from the back, though it can also be the city hall (location of the school in that case), and there is some kind of book market going on. I suppose that is why I wanted to go here. I point out the books that are ??? (can't read notes). And I make a comparison with London (?).
Pesl is impressed and I also tell him the latest news, which is that both De Slegte and Johannes Boekhandel are closed, but are also torn down. I see this in my dream when I say or remember it. The buildings are torn down, in the middle of the city, bricks. At that point my brother N is also here, but I can't remember his role. Telling him this news has something to do with coming to this book place.
I think the dream continues beyond this point. Our ways separate, when we go outside again. But I can't remember the details.

4. Conversation about Arabic

Maybe the same dream?
I am at a table, in front of me are Bale and Krvh, they sit down as well. I sit on the right, across of me is Krvh and next to her, on my left, is Bale. This is an interesting set-up, because I've had something with both girls, yet I try not to let that get to me and stay calm. There is food on the table.
There is a discussion. At some point the discussion turns to language as Bale, who might change to Ande at some point, says she never worked out to read Arabic. Then she and Krvh talk about this, and Bale admits she only did one year of Arabic and never even managed to learn the alphabet. I say that must have been frustrated, sensing that she would otherwise have made good progress because she seemed to understand the grammar. I say this because I want to partake of the conversation, but that is not a good idea, I should have let them talk among each other. Then I point out in a joking way to Krvh something about having her read the Russian parts, (I really can't remember why, but there must have been something that needed to be read), because she actually knows Russian. But I think I back out again when she complies.

5. Black Scorpion

First I am somewhere, with N.
Later I go to the bathroom, I don't mean the toilet.
Then I start cleaning the place, but I don't know what place this is, but it is partly my responsibility to clean up, especially because that which I need to clean up is something I left here. I take the bundle, all is already wrapped in newspaper. But when I take it up from the wall where I put it for a moment, something drops, has fallen out of the bundle, because it is of course not sealed tight.
Something small and black, and shiny, drops on the kitchen floor (I don't think this is the kitchen, it is a common room in a place that I don't know) and it is a baby scorpion. It reminds me of having a spider in the kitchen, and I'm thinking, we have had scorpions like this before. And I also think the scorpion looks cute. It is actually beautiful. My brother N also looks at it from where he is standing, because I suppose he is cleaning as well.
So I decide I can't step on it, it must stay alive. That creates the problem of what to do with it, because it is a little frightened and it runs this way and that and I try to get out of the way, but I don't move too much. I am a little afraid of being stung, I don't want that to happen, but I really want the scorpion to stay alive.

6. Ritual Request

Maybe part of the same dream.
Nede, the daughter of Tama, is in trouble. She does everything for her father, but she gets no gratification from him, no sense of recognition, this makes Nede a little depressed.
And another scene. Outside in the garden, at my parents' place. I arrive there, there are many people. I don't see the house in fact, as if the place changed, and the garden slopes down, and I do recognize the shed at the end of the garden, and that is where N and maybe my other brother are busy. But I am in the front part on the left of the house, which may not  be a house at all, but only a wall or something. And this is a passage for people to go from the front to the back, yet I find a place to be on my own.
And I can't remember what I did on that side of the house, but at some point I change to the right side, this is after a guy passes by that is a customer in our shop, young man, taller, and also more voluminous, especially now in the dream, and he has a request which is that he will loose weight, and the request is meant like a wish that he will express ritually, because it seems that this is the kind of thing that is happening here, but it is like a public place where everyone can do this and at the same time it is like a party, as if this is a barbecue for friends. After that, but I did things too, I went to the right side, and there is a piece of terrace there that is private and that is where I set up my altar, in fact there is a big place already reserved a prepared as an altar and I decide to use that. I thought this was private and I look out at the garden, but when this other man walks back from whatever he was doing, he looks straight back to me, even over that long a distance, and sees me, and I think I'm not that private after all. But he only nods in silent agreement and continues, because he has now done his job or what it is he came for and now has time for party. And I continue with my business. I am at the side of the second garage. I sit down and do this ritual.
I also have to put outside the papers, garbage I suppose.
There is also a scene in which I struggle with three papers, with notes, and I am in the bath now and the papers get wet, but they stay firm and you can still read the text. I know this can be done, only I should take care that I don't drown the papers too often. This is important work, and private.
Afterwards I go down to the shed where my brother is, and he is there with Brfr. And I help them, or I think about helping them.

7. Holding Hands

Something about greeting cards for Valentine, but they are funny, I think this may still be part of dream 3. I think they're funny, but someone I don't know remarks that the girl you give it too will not be amused. One of the cards says: happy Valentine, and instructs that the card must be given on 6 April, and the date is shown on the card as well. I think it is funny. This is a book fair, one big place inside, two section, we come from the second section.
There are two girls I am with and I like both, but I like one of them more. The one is a tall girl with long curly dark hair, the other is not so tall and has blond hair and I fancy her more. But she goes away for a moment to do something and that leaves me alone with the brunette. She also goes somewhere, to a corner, to do something, but this is still in the hall and after some thought I go to her, because I have to wait for the other girl anyway, and I get close with the brunette, which is my second choice. I touch her arm lightly and stand very close to her, but she touches back and we are soon enough holding hands and it feels natural.
I have no idea when we can expect back the other girl, but hand in hand we walk out of this hall and go to the other place, first we go outside and then turn left, walk the length of the building and behind go upstairs and find the roof top, which is open for the public. Other people are there. At this point I am thinking about the other girl and how I want her and that she would now turn back and that I maybe should not hold hands with the brunette because that would not be well received by the blond. But the brunette and I talk about this and we both agree that it feels very natural to hold hands, and she says she has not had this with anybody recently, and I have to admit the same goes with me, and this is in fact what I was looking for. And even if I have not held hands with the blond I realize at that moment that if I would it would still be a little untrue, even if there was a deep connection. I also kiss the brunette, but I can't remember when exactly or how it came to pass. This is toward the end of the dream, but I can't remember the actual end.
