Dream interpretation

This is a dream journal. The intention behind it is to also give interpretations on the recorded dreams. In my experience, much of the dream content is prophetic and can be linked to events following the night of dreaming.
Throughout the year 2013 I will keep to the discipline of recording my dreams every morning and interpreting them every evening. That way, people may start to get a feel of how dream symbolism works.

Night Ride

1. Comic Question

Inside, dark, red atmosphere. Maybe the shop. Close up. Someone is asking me if we have certain comic books. Maybe it is Gube. At least he features prominently later in the dream. The comics he asks, we don't have. Maybe his list is red. I only remember the close up of the list, seeing titles marked and crossed. In fact, I know for sure, these kind of comics we don't have, but I tell him I'll look it up anyway.

2. Driving a Car on the Lawn

Possibly the same dream. Kitchen of home of parents. Gube is there. My dad is also here. They know each other. My dad in the background. I have to deal with Gube. There are other people here. I see Gube trying to seduce a girl. I am quite jealous. I don't like what he is doing, all that in front of everyone. He is the age of my father, and the girl is younger than me, and I like her.
At some point, Gube leaves. It is late in the evening, dark outside. When he is gone, I take the girl aside and tell her what I think about Gube's move. She has her own way, is innocent on top. I tell her he has a son, two actually, and that he is married, and so on, so not appropriate for him to make a move. I try to scare her off that way.
Outside, Gube gets into his car. There are other cars, of people here, parked, but everyone is leaving one by one. We go outside too, possibly the girl is leaving and I try to catch up with her. We are in the garage. I can see Gube driving now. He is not leaving right away, goes the wrong direction, drives onto the lawn, and circles around there. He makes a lot of noise. He does this on purpose. One way, then the other. Driving up anything that makes noise. He bumps into the garden shed, and so on.
At some point I am rather close to the girl, standing behind her and I hold her, quite a long time, as if this is the most natural thing to do. Feels good. Actually, I want to ask her for advice. What Gube is doing is not good, so should I tell my father. I ask the girl this, but by that time I already know, but she says yes. So I do this.
I'm inside, I speak to my father. He doesn't understand me. He speaks English. I try to be explicit, so I repeat what I say and I say Gube's name entirely, first name and last name, so that there is no discussion about who we are speaking.

  1. The whole thing might have been one dream.

    Residue.
Dream 1. Someone asked me about comics I knew we wouldn't have, yesterday. (Or was it today?)

    Interpretation.
Dream 2. I don't know what Gube is doing in my dream, except as an antagonist to my father.
I am clearly upset by something, but I don't know what about. Maybe my father is Digr and Gube is Keva, but I can't say for sure. It might be about the dynamics going on in the shop. Actually, Tama had a discussion with Digr about Brva which bothered her.
The father who does not understand me is a residue of Digr who I had to tell something, but who did not understand right from the beginning. This makes me believe that the father in the dream might refer to Digr, which is possible, because he represents that archetype.
