Dream interpretation

This is a dream journal. The intention behind it is to also give interpretations on the recorded dreams. In my experience, much of the dream content is prophetic and can be linked to events following the night of dreaming.
Throughout the year 2013 I will keep to the discipline of recording my dreams every morning and interpreting them every evening. That way, people may start to get a feel of how dream symbolism works.

Golden Dolphin

1. Gedichtendag

We are in the shop, but it does not look like the shop, it is shaped differently, other arrangement of floors, secret rooms. More wood, cosy atmosphere. Guds is there. Brva is there. I intrude on something, but I have to be there anyway. I come from the section where the customers are. Someone asked if there were any posters of Poetry Day left (Gedichtendag). And she had asked before, so I had kept some apart, or should have at least. So I go in the room where Guds and Brva are, and there are posters of this poem all rolled up. And I take a few and I think I will need more, because I don't want to look stingy, so I take more, but I see there is a different box and it contains a different colour of paper, so I take a few from there too. Apparently, there are three colours, red, yellow, and presumably something in between. It might actually have been Brva who asked me to bring some.

2. Bedroom

Bedroom. Brother D. (This is from notes, I can't remember it).

3. Christian Book on Odin

I am in a room with levels, half open, or maybe it has no roof at all. At first I am at the lowest part. And I browse through a book. The lowest part is more public. The upper part more private. There is light. Space. Maybe someone gave it to me, or it was special, anyway, it is meant for me, and I want to read it at home when I have time, but I take a look anyway. And it is about Odin. It is very interesting. I open the book halfway, but immediately the text is interesting, and there are pictures. It is dark in my corner of the room. The book is meant for Christian people and all the lore is put in a Christian context, but it is interesting anyway. It looks ambiguous. But I like it anyway. I keep reading.
At some point I have a question, because I want to see something cleared, and it is on my mind. So I ask Bale, who is upstairs. I go stand next to her and I ask her what something means. And she says, it is like this and this and this, and she compares it with other things that have the same symbolical meaning. Things I should know, because we were there together, they are our memories. And she says, it is like the golden dolphin. Do you remember? And I have a hard time remembering.
The three comparisons she makes are all fabled animals. There might be a unicorn, but I'm not sure. The other one is the dolphin, and the last is the one I asked. They belong together, and they are something we two share alone. So I ask her the meaning of this animal that does not exist. And she says, they do exist, don't you remember. We have seen them with our own eyes. She says the name of one of the other animals, but it sounds Welsh, I could only remember the first two syllables. I remember Wales (maybe a pun for Whale). Or maybe she can only remember the first two syllables, and I only hear Whale.
After a while I can almost see the dolphin. It was not golden at all, but it was special.

4. I will never Make it

We are outside. In the fields. Walking. A straight field road, fields on the left and the right, we are on the highest point. Clear blue sky. Natural landscape. I go along a little more, although I don't have much time. I should head back to wherever I come from; I should be back by 2pm. I will never make it, because it is already 2.30pm. So I relax and take my time with the walk.

5. Plane in the Tree

We are outside. Field, hilltops. Trees on the horizon, maybe one in the middle. Green. By day. We look at the sky, there are planes. I can see three airplanes. They are old models and small, one person planes. They go about as they like, circle the tree in the middle. Maybe they also go in the tree, and maybe the others have to rescue them.

  1. Residue.
Dream 1. It was Gedichtendag last Thursday and we were out of posters but the chance was real we could get our hands on more. And I made reservations for people. Not Guds but Gucl was in the shop last weekend.

    Interpretation.
Dream 3. The Christian book is a reference to the book that Hage bought today. I didn't know he ordered it, but it was about Germanic people and the coming of Christianity. I made a remark and he said that, again, we don't know much about it, but I doubted what he said, which is the ambiguity of the book and the fact that I keep reading anyway.
My question to Bale was actually my question to Inro today. I told her my brother was going to marry, and she said she will be marrying too, which came rather as a surprise. The dolphin is a reference to a dream I head with dolphins in the swimming pool, and I watched them together with Sodu, but Sodu symbolized Inro in that dream, and the dolphins our shared emotions.
Dream 4. This is also about Inro telling me she is going to marry, because it was her lunch break and she had to get back, but because I ask how and what, she did stay and explain a bit, which was rather kind. That I'll never make it is a reference to the fact that now she is getting married, I will never marry her. So the walk in the open is our talk and sketches the nature of the talk and the nature of our understanding.
