Still Early

1. Enchanted Town

City, square street plan, houses in the middle. Night, or dark. Rainy. It rains more in some areas than in others. Some places have rain, others have not. The city is under a spell, something wicked. My brother D is there. He wakes up. He notices the enchantment and automatically falls under the spell. So I help him. (This is from notes, I don't recall the dream at all, except for the setting).

2. Roundabout Green

At some point I have to cycle to Leuven. I have to be there. Other people might come with me, but for them it is not so important. However, they hold me up. Their discussions keep me from going,  because I wait for them. I don't enter the discussions either.

Eventually I leave on my own. The dream becomes a little more lucid. There is less traffic than I expected. Maybe this is why I wanted people with me, so that I would feel more secure when there is lots of traffic. It is still early in the day, I realize, so not many people are up and about. Sometimes a car, coming my direction, sometimes another cyclist. I can handle this.

Then I come to the part of the road that intersects with the ring road around Leuven. This is the highest point in the landscape, because Leuven lies in a valley. There is no possibility to turn right. There's trees and other green. And I suddenly am cycling on a roundabout which is so big that it is out of proportion. It is meant for both cars and cyclists. There is green in the middle, and on the sides too, actually, the street seems to be part of the green, of nature even. This is a place I haven't seen before. This must be new, but I go forward, take my turn and go straight on into Leuven. That is where the dream ends.

But the place was remarkable.

3. Too Early for Valentine's Day

At home, parents' place. D is there. So is also there, who works in the restaurant where I get my lunch. I sit next to her. At some point I gently put my hand on her arm to get her attention, and I tell her I saw her pass the other day, but not in time enough to stop.

My cousin P is here too. (Can't read my notes).

My father is also there. He has made food for our mother's Valentine, but Valentine is still two weeks ahead. So it is way too early. But we should eat it now anyway. Mother is not here and it will be off when it is Valentine's day.

D and P do something together. There is a quiz, too.

(Maybe the same dream). Area that I don't know from reality, but it looks like the alma at Vlamingenstraat, that street by the park. On the corner of a street. D and P there, I suppose, and I more or less between them or a little away. There is a young girl, who stands more or less between them. I would like to teach her something. I go stand right behind her, so that we touch, I lean against her back, which is very intimate.

4. Exam Paper

Coffee. Bottles. Papers, which may be a dossier. Or a test of some kind.
