Dream interpretation

This is a dream journal. The intention behind it is to also give interpretations on the recorded dreams. In my experience, much of the dream content is prophetic and can be linked to events following the night of dreaming.
Throughout the year 2013 I will keep to the discipline of recording my dreams every morning and interpreting them every evening. That way, people may start to get a feel of how dream symbolism works.

Foreign Magical Techniques

1. Seidr Ritual

House, which is high, reminds me of Elbe her house of parents, light, garage in front, house on top of it, pathway to the side, reminds me of house of B&D. I'm at the backside of the house. Parents and brothers are there. Veranda.
I am making ready to perform a Seidr ritual, but my brothers just now come from the veranda, so I want to involve them in the project.
Inside, dark, I've got four chairs to represent the four corners, cardinal points. I want to do this rite specifically to extract knowledge, to learn something secret, to know something specific, but the preparation takes so long that I become conscious of dreaming and the reason why I do it recedes into the background. What I want to know is whether some specific magical technique works or not. Possibly this is something from another tradition, but I want to try with runes. Or, maybe I use knowledge from other traditions to start the rite, to do the opening. So, N and D have to cooperate, though they are not used to it and maybe even don't want to. I let them do things, there is only the opening of the rite, that builds the more I get into it, and I improvise it on the way, but the opening of the rite, because I get carried away, because in itself so long, that in the dream I never get to the core rite. Moreover, because I become more awake, I have forgotten the why.
One of the things that I improvise which everybody can do is chanting vowels, but using the runic vowels. This is fun and takes a long time, then our parents come and have a look and mother obviously wants to take her evening nap, which is difficult for us, because that means we have to stop what we do. Therefore, she does not want us to continue. She is really against it.
So the rite is paused, but I think that is okay, because I was improvising anyway. Later we can do the rest.
N, D, are already elsewhere, in the house I suppose. I follow later. It is cold in the veranda, no heating.
Then we get company, a visit. I am ill, and am a bear, actually in the shape of a brown bear, and I should eat something, mother organizes things and wants to give or feed me bread, I am in something something with N & D, and eating something something, which is good.

2. Quick Grandfather

Maybe living room of aunt M. Grandfather is there, at table, his brother and sister beside him, on either side. At one end of the table. I notice he is not using his cane, and when he stands up, frequently, he is very quick and alive. Cousin D is there. There are marbles on the table, and grandfather is explaining something, I think about the card game he used to play. Now he uses his cane to move the balls on the table, like billiard, and to victory.
N, cousin D, and me look for something something, which is ancient, ages old.

3. Blue Green Book

There is a list with English words, with which I still need to do something. And there is my dad, he stands out, he is again the only one helping me out. Resting, either him or me, can't remember. So I leave the visit behind, him or me (?). At home of parents, dining room. I am busy with something (can't read notes well).
On the table is a blue green book, and I open it because I wanted to read it, it is my dad's, and I open it and the pages itself are blue and green, pages and print. But I don't like what I see, because it is in Dutch, and I don't want to read it in translation, and the text is not as strong as I thought.

  1. Residue.
Dream 1. Seidr residue of planning a ceremony on December 1. And ritual residue of planning to go out on November Eve, but now I am thinking I'd rather sleep. And the foreign magical techniques are maybe a residue of yesterday when I was planning on reading the next chapter of the M7R course, which is months ago since I last read something, but I did not, I only tuned in, which seemed to have worked. The chanting was based on what I learned from a druid once, who chanted the Greek vowels, and this is also a residue, because I told this story last week to people. And the runes is a residue of thinking about the talk in December.
Dream 2. Grandfather at that place is a residue of his birthday party in September.
Dream 1. Cold in the veranda is residue of real life, it is getting colder outside.

    Interpretation.
Dream 3. Colours might be linked to M7R. The book itself too, though I did not read anything yet.
Dream 1. I am thinking extracting knowledge through rite refers to taking out Tama to have her explain her situation. I did not learn what I wanted, I did not know how to ask the right questions.
