Katana

1. Swinging Swords

Spacious room. There is a corner with food. Continually busy. Running to and fro, other people around, not so many, all of them busy, people I know in the dream. Playing with food. Maybe Dore.
Later at one of the walls (reminds me of a swimming pool, where the showers are before you leave) a few people huddled together. My brother N is there. Some other people. Tables. Light. I'm holding a sword. A real sword, that does not happen often in a dream, I realize. First a two edged blade, either Western style or Chinese. This is heavy, I did not expect it to be so heavy. Someone else swings it and says the same, I tell him that that is what people usually say.
I have to practice. Now my brother is across of me and I am holding a katana, and we play about a little with the swords, he has two shorter swords, all Japanese style. It immediately strucks me that these are easier to wield, they are more balanced, and because of the one edge, you can manouver in more ways. I play around with some moves. I like the katana much better. I inform someone about this, maybe Erel.
My brother keeps coming, pushes, but I have no intention of fighting. Because he comes on I have to defend constantly, and I can easily block his two weapons with my own. I can lock them on his body in fact, with one move. Then in another move I cause one of his swords to fall on the floor, maybe a wakizashi. That's when he stops bothering me.

2. German Family

Some place. The whole family of P&R are here, there daughter, and my aunt. Maybe reference to Terry Pratchett.

3. Escape

An earlier dream or earlier part of the first dream.
Other place, something about a small dog. Two something (can't read notes).
I want to leave this place soon because I don't want to be seen.
This leaving is organized, others are involved. We will have to leave via a trap door or pit, something like that. There are stairs. (Reminds me of Enochian rite).

4. Discussion on the Meaning of Opera

There is a discussion on opera. We sit at a table. Someone remarks that you can never understand these operas. You don't hear what they sing, and you don't know the language. I observe. Fras answers this person, she reacts, because she has Wagner's Ring in mind. That would be the typical example.
